ALMOND – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team’s season came to an end with a 3-1 loss to Almond-Bancroft in a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday night at Almond-Bancroft High School.
The Dons, seeded 12th in the sectional, won the first game 26-24, but No. 5 seed Almond-Bancroft rallied with win the final three games in a tight battle 25-16, 27-25, 25-23.
Almond-Bancroft moves on to a Division 4 regional semifinal on Thursday at No. 4 seed Tigerton.
