STRATFORD – Two players scored 40 points in helping their teams to victories during play in the Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League on Sunday, Nov. 4.
Chris Newbury scored 40, Mike Wilke had 21 and Josh Franklin had 20 points in US Bancorp’s 113-39 crushing of Country Wireless.
Chris Hannula also poured in 40 points to help Smazel’s Hunters Choice to an 88-86 edging of A&B Processing. Andy Bliven had 24 points and Kyle Davis had 20 for A&B.

*Arby’s torched Kakfa Granite 110-61 behind 27 points from Nick Sternitzky and 20 from Jeremy Bulgrin. Brian Heusi had 24 points to lead Kafka.
*Aaron Linzmeier scored 23 points to lift Kizzy & Sue’s Bar & Grill to a 94-67 win over Southway Pub.
*After Hours beat down Under 74-54. Chris Klemke had 37 points for After Hours.
*Resource Recovery knocked off The Shack 96-65. Barry Messman scored 32 points and Scott Gebelein had 21 points for Resource Recovery.
*Lindsey Bar defeated Marawood Construction 60-49. No leading scorers were provided.
