RICE LAKE – Cain Trunkel scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team to a narrow 87-86 win over UW-Barron County on Wednesday.
Marshfield (9-2, 4-1 Wisconsin Collegiate Conference) trailed 48-43 at halftime before rallying for the victory.
Matt Grunewald added 26 points for the Marauders.
The Marauders are off for finals and the semester break and return to action Monday, Jan. 7, when they play at UW-Sheboygan.
