Auburndale boys basketball wins 18th straight, knocks off Baraboo

BARABOO – The Auburndale boys basketball team kept its perfect season intact, knocking off Baraboo 47-37 in a nonconference game Tuesday at Baraboo High School.

The Apaches improve to 18-0 this season and can clinch their third straight Marawood Conference South Division title with a win over Marathon on Thursday. The game, at Auburndale High School, starts at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on WOSQ-FM 92.3 and wdlbwosq.com.

Baraboo falls to 1-17 on the season.

Austin Hawkins and Matt Nikolay each scored 16 points to lead Auburndale.

Nikolay made a pair of 3-pointers, was 8 of 9 from the free throw line, and grabbed eight rebounds for the Apaches. Hawkins had nine rebounds in the win.
