NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Jena Weigel, a 2009 graduate of Marshfield High School and now a senior on the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women’s track and field team, placed third overall in the Pentathlon on Friday at the NCAA Division III Women’s Indoor National Championships at North Central College.
Weigel totaled 3,432 points to finish third and earn All-American honors.
The Pentathlon includes competing in the high jump, long jump, shot put, 60 meter hurdles and 800 meter run.
Janel Haggerty of Keene State was first with 3,467 points, with Jessika Smith of UW-Stout second with 3,441.
