MARSHFIELD – Four women’s players and three players from the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s team were named to the All-Wisconsin Collegiate Conference basketball teams.
Both Marauders coaches also swept the Coach of the Year honors – Ron Wilczek for the UW-Marshfield/Wood County men and Rhonda Keding for the women.
McKenzie Trunkel and Corrine Meacham were named to the all-WCC women’s first team, with teammates Kaitlynn Mefferd earning second-team honors and Addi Vold named as an honorable mention choice.
For the Marauders’ men, Cain Trunkel was a first-team pick, Jesse Bejcek was named to the second-team and Matt Grunewald was an honorable mention selection.
Both the UW-Marshfield/Wood County teams won regular-season conference titles, and the women’s team was the WCC state tournament champion.
