Loyal knocks off Columbus Catholic baseball

MARSHFIELD – Loyal scored multiple runs in the first four innings and went on to an 11-1 win over Marshfield Columbus Catholic in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Thursday at Jack Hackman Field.

Loyal scored twice in the first and third innings, and added four in the second and three in the fourth to beat the Dons in five innings.

Columbus walked 12 times against Loyal pitcher Dylan Much, but only managed three hits.

Alex Larson suffered the loss for Columbus. He had four strikeouts and one walk.

The Dons (1-9, 1-6 Cloverbelt East) return to action Monday at Owen-Withee.
