Wausau West knocks off Marshfield freshman football team

WAUSAU – The Marshfield freshman football team was dominated by Wausau West, losing 39-8 on Thursday at West High School.

Marshfield’s only score came on a 24-yard touchdown pass from Jared Klein to Trevor Smith. Klein then hit Braden Bohman for a two-point conversion.

Sawyer Lovstad, Trenton Smith, Paul Maguire and Austin Steines led Marshfield in tackles.

The Tigers host Stevens Point P.J. Jacobs Junior High in its next game at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 26.
