AUBURNDALE – Shannon Yahnke had nine kills and Camille Swart added seven to lead the Auburndale volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep of Stratford in the 2013 Marawood Conference South Division finale for both teams on Tuesday at Auburndale High School.
Auburndale won 25-21, 25-22, 25-19, to finish the Marawood South season with a 4-2 record. Stratford ends up with a 2-4 record.
Kendra Kundinger had 18 assists and 15 digs, Hannah Castellano added 15 digs and Jenna Peplinski had five kills and nine assists for the Apaches.
Stratford’s statistics were not provided.
Both teams open postseason play in WIAA Division 3 regional quarterfinals on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at home.
Stratford is the No. 8 seed and hosts No. 9 Abbotsford, while Auburndale is the No. 5 seed and plays at home against No. 12 Loyal/Granton. Both matches start at 7 p.m.
