Marshfield girls hockey shuts out Waupaca

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield scored three times in the first period and rolled to a 6-0 shutout of Waupaca in a Great Northern Conference girls hockey game Monday night at the Marshfield Youth Ice Recreation Arena.

Kessa Schreiner, Morgan Larson and Nell Eichten each scored in the first period for the Tigers (5-12, 5-6 Great Northern Conference).

Kaylee Geiger added a goal in the second period and Eichten and Schreiner each scored again in the third for Marshfield.

Alexis Straughan saved all 24 shots in goal for the Tigers.

Waupaca is now 2-16-1 and 2-7-1 in the GNC.

Marshfield’s next game is Friday at Lakeland.
