STRATFORD – Mike Riemer, Bill Hanson and Conner Staab each scored 26 points to lead Victory Apparel to a 99-90 shootout victory over Smazel’s Hunters Choice during Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League action Sunday.
Chris Hannula had 38 points for Smazel’s in the loss.
Smazel’s defeated Arby’s 88-87 in another game Sunday. Jimmy Flink had 27 points and Brian Bartnik added 26 in the win. Mack Scheppler scored 29 in the loss for Arby’s.
In other action Sunday:
*Kizzy & Sue’s Bar & Grill defeated Marawood Construction 87-75. Aaron Linzmeier had 28 points for Kizzy & Sue’s. Bryan Weichelt had 23 in the loss for Marawood.
*USBancorp edged A&B Process Systems 90-85. Malachi David scored 29 points and Isaac Dahlke added 27 for USBancorp. Andy Bliven scored 26 points and Tom Scherr had 23 for A&B.
*The Shack II defeated Rose Bowl Lanes 79-75 behind 28 points from Jake Frombach. Chris Fischer topped Rose Bowl with 20 points.
*Marshfield Country Club defeated The Shack 94-78. Chris Klempke had 31 points and Mike Pankratz had 23 in the win for MCC. Dan Weznel scored 32 points for The Shack.
*Resource Recovery defeated Country Wireless 83-62 and Davis Auto knocked off Dentral Crafters 60-52. No leading scorers were provided.
