CHIPPEWA FALLS – Marshfield managed just one shot on goal in a physical 5-0 loss to Chippewa Falls in a nonconference girls soccer game Saturday.

Kassi Todryk had six saves for the Tigers, who were outshot 11-1 and fall to 1-1-1 on the season.

Marshfield had to play some players out of position due to injuries, assistant coach Steve Lindner said.

“Courtney Thuman and Emily Brix played well even though they we moved around quite a bit today,” Lindner said. “Each game we continue to learn and have some bright spots to keep building off of.”

Marshfield opens its Wisconsin Valley Conference season this week with a game at Wisconsin Rapids at 7 p.m. Tuesday, and at home against Wausau West at 5 p.m. Thursday.
