SPENCER – Spencer committed seven errors, which led to a 5-2 loss to Whitehall in a WIAA Division 3 regional semifinal Wednesday at Spencer High School.
Whitehall scored three runs in the fourth inning and added two more in the seventh to ice the victory and improve to 10-5 this season. The Norse moves on to a Division 3 regional final at Neillsville on Friday.
Matt Ivacic suffered the loss, striking out two and walking one for the Rockets.
Bobby Pilz was 2-for-3 with a double and Mitch Susa had a double and an RBI for Spencer (16-5).
