Plover shuts down Marshfield Chaparrals

PLOVER – Plover scored multiple runs in three different innings and rolled to a 12-0 win over the Marshfield Chaparrals in amateur baseball action Wednesday at Memorial Park.

Plover (6-1) scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning, added two more in the third and four in the fifth to pull away.

Jake Long suffered the loss for Marshfield (2-4), giving up 11 runs (only two earned) in 4 2/3 innings.

Jordan Buss and Eric Pritzl each had two hits for the Chaparrals.

The Chaparrals play at Everest on Friday night.
