MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team dropped a tight game to UW-Marathon County 71-67 on Wednesday.
Marshfield (2-2, 1-1 Wisconsin Collegiate Conference) led 36-35 at halftime but the Huskies were able to pull away at the end.
Hunter Busse hit 6 of 8 3-point attempts and finished with 19 points to top UW-Marshfield. Joseph Estrict added 14 points and seven rebounds, and Derrick Shivers added 13 points for the Marauders.
UW-Marshfield/Wood County will play at UW-Waukesha on Saturday. The women’s game starts at 1 p.m., with the men’s game to follow at 3 p.m.
