TOMAH – Megan Smith won the vault with a score of 8.7 for Marshfield, which finished fourth at the Peppermint Twist Gymnastics Invitational on Saturday at Tomah High School.
Smith also finished third in the uneven bars (9.275), 11th in the floor (8.1) and 13th in the balance beam (6.775) for the Tigers, who had a team score of 122.9, just 7/10 of a point behind third place Chippewa Falls. Antigo won the team title with 127.85 points, 1½ better than Menomonie.
Emma Haugen took fourth in the uneven bars (8.15) and fifth in the beam (7.8) for Marshfield’s other top finishes.
Bailey Schmitt won the all-around for the Marshfield JV, which also won the team title.
Marshfield is off until Jan. 7 when it hosts Ashland at 5:45 p.m.
