Stratford baseball whips Northland Lutheran in Marawood South finale

KRONENWETTER – The Stratford baseball team wrapped up its Marawood Conference South Division schedule with a 15-8 win over Northland Lutheran on Thursday.

The Tigers end up in second place in the Marawood South with an 8-4 record and are now 9-6 overall.

Stratford scored 11 times in the fourth inning and held on from there.

Each team had four errors, leading to a total of 10 unearned runs.

Lucas Heidmann earned the win, striking out four in 3 1/3 innings.

Stratford had 15 hits, with six different players have two apiece. Five Tigers also had a pair of RBIs.

Stratford is the No. 3 seed in its Division 3 sectional and will host No. 6 Colby in a WIAA regional quarterfinal on Thursday, May 26, at the Tiger Stadium Baseball Field.
