Marshfield girls tennis cruises past D.C. Everest

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls tennis team evened its Wisconsin Valley Conference record with a 6-1 victory over D.C. Everest on Thursday at the Boson Tennis Complex.

The Tigers are now 2-2 in the Valley, while Everest falls to 0-3.

Marshfield won all but the No. 1 singles match, five in straight sets and another by forfeit.

No. 4 singles player McKensey Koran, and the No. 3 doubles team of Brittany Weber and Makayla Weigel each won 6-0, 6-0, for the Tigers.

Marshfield will compete at the Eau Claire Memorial Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
