Stratford girls basketball doubles up Auburndale

STRATFORD – Stratford held Auburndale to 25 percent shooting and just three points in the first half on its way to a 45-22 win in a Marawood Conference South Division girls basketball game Tuesday night at Stratford High School.

Andie Zuelke scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Blaire Linder added 11 points and six rebounds for Stratford, which is now 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Marawood South.

Stratford led 20-3 at halftime after holding Auburndale (1-3, 0-1 Marawood South) to only one made basket in the opening 18 minutes.

The Tigers also held a 37-20 rebounding advantage and had 15 steals in the win.

Hannah Bolder led Auburndale with nine points.

Stratford plays a nonconference game at Rib Lake on Thursday, while Auburndale returns to action Friday at home against Wisconsin Rapids Assumption.
