SPENCER – Spencer committed 25 fouls and 25 turnovers, which proved too much to overcome, as Loyal sent the Rockets to a 74-55 loss in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Thursday at Spencer High School.

Loyal outscored the Rockets (5-3, 3-3 Cloverbelt East) by 10 in the first half and nine in the second to pull away.

Karsyn Rueth had 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Greyhounds (5-2, 4-1 Cloverbelt East), which shot 57 percent from the field (17 of 37).

Spencer junior Lexi Baehr continued her torrid offensive output, putting up 27 points, which included a 10-for-15 performance at the free throw line. She did commit 10 turnovers, however.

Spencer plays at first-place Neillsville on Tuesday.
