Marathon shuts down Stratford boys basketball

MARATHON – Marathon shutout Stratford’s top scorer and was able to pull out a 48-37 victory in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game on Friday night at Marathon High School.

Stratford’s top scorer, Vaughn Breit, was held to 0-for-8 shooting and did not score in the loss.

Marathon is now 5-3 overall and 2-1 in the Marawood South, while Stratford drops to 5-4 and 1-2 in the conference.

Brenden Fecker led the Tigers with 21 points, including three 3-pointers.

Stratford plays at Northland Lutheran on Tuesday.
