Stratford baseball doubles up Marathon

MARATHON – Dylan Schoenherr had three hits and Kade Erike belted a home run to help the Stratford baseball team to a 10-5 win over Marathon in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday at Marathon High School.

Stratford scored three times in the fifth inning and added three more in the seventh to bust open a tight game that was tied at 4-4 after four innings.

Cole Hoffman earned the victory for Stratford, allowing four runs in 5 1/3 innings. Lucas Heidmann earned the save.

Mark Handrick and Lance Heidmann added two RBIs each for the Tigers (6-3, 2-2 Marawood South).

Stratford plays at Auburndale on Thursday.
