Loyal holds down Spencer boys basketball

SPENCER – Loyal held Spencer to 25 percent shooting on its way to a 46-29 victory in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division boys basketball game Thursday at Spencer High School.

Loyal didn’t shoot much better, hitting 31 percent of its shots, but outscored the Rockets 13-3 at the free throw line and 9-0 from 3-point range to pull out the win.

Jack Bezlyk and Nate Karau each scored 10 points for Spencer, which falls to 8-10 overall and 7-7 in the Cloverbelt East.

Spencer hosts Abbotsford in a nonconference game Monday.
