Athens scores four in seventh to top Auburndale softball

ATHENS – Athens rallied from 10 runs down to top Auburndale 13-12 in a wild nonconference softball game Monday.

Auburndale scored seven times in the first inning and added four more in the second to open up an 11-1 lead before the Bluejays got hot.

Athens (8-4) scored five times in the fourth, added three in the fifth, and finished off the game with a four-run bottom of the seventh to win in walk-off fashion.

Mackenzie Raab went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, and two RBIs, Natalie Aue had a triple and two RBIs, and Hannah Bolder had two hits and scored twice for Auburndale (5-9).

Auburndale hosts Prentice on Friday.
