Columbus Catholic baseball drops home game to Gilman

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield Columbus Catholic was held to five hits and dropped a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game to Gilman 6-3 on Monday at Jack Hackman Field.

The game was called after one out was retired in the top of the sixth inning due to rain.

Nick Malovrh had two of the Dons’ hits and drove in a pair of runs in the loss.

Calvin Brown had a complete-game effort for Columbus Catholic (2-7, 2-4 Cloverbelt East).

The Dons will play at Spencer on Thursday at 5 p.m.
