AUBURNDALE – Auburndale put together two four-run innings and got a complete game gem from Fletcher Raab to beat Prentice 12-2 in a nonconference baseball game Friday at Auburndale High School.
Auburndale scored four times in the first and fifth innings, and added two in the fourth and sixth innings to rout the Buccaneers.
Raab struck out 10 and did not walk a batter and scattered seven hits to earn the win for the Apaches (9-6).
Cason Schmutzer went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and scored three times, and Ryan Issacson, Colton Wright and Cody Trowbridge each had a pair of hits for Auburndale.
Isaacson drove in three runs, and Cam Ertl and Trowbridge both had a pair of RBIs in the victory.
Auburndale will wrap up its regular season with nonconference home games against Pittsville on Monday and Abbotsford on Tuesday.
