Stratford wrestling tops Auburndale in Marawood dual

AUBURNDALE – Stratford won three matches by pin and went to defeat a short-handed Auburndale 66-12 in a Marawood Conference wrestling dual meet Thursday night at Auburndale High School.

Stratford won seven matches by forfeit, earned a pair of decisions, and had pins from Konnor Stuttgen (145 pounds), Hunter Ford (170) and Trevor Dennee (182).

Max Schwabe won 3-1 at 138 pounds and Raife Smart snagged a 4-1 win at 195 for Stratford’s other two wins in contested matches.

Noah Altmann (120) and Hunter Godard (132) both had pins for Auburndale’s two victories.

Stratford will host Amherst, Marshfield and Holmen for a quadrangular meet on Friday starting at 5 p.m. Auburndale is back in action Saturday at the Freedom Invitational.
