Stratford boys basketball wins at Marathon

MARATHON – The Stratford boys basketball team kept its undefeated season rolling, grabbing a 63-49 road win at Marathon on Tuesday night.

Stratford improves to 16-0 overall and 11-0 in the Marawood Conference South Division. Marathon is now 5-9 and 5-7 in conference play.

Vaughn Breit scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the way for the Tigers.

Stratford shot 51 percent (26 of 51) and was 10 of 13 at the free throw line in the win.

Chandler Schmidt added 18 points and Dawson Danen had 10 for Stratford.

Marathon statistics were not reported.

Stratford hosts Chequamegon on Friday.
