Owen-Withee edges Columbus Catholic girls basketball

OWEN – Owen-Withee held off Marshfield Columbus Catholic to earn a hard-fought 36-33 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Tuesday night at Owen-Withee High School.

Owen-Withee held an 18-15 lead at halftime and finished with the same three-point lead.

Annika Brown had 13 points and Holly Dean scored 10 for the Dons, who fall to 8-9 overall and 7-5 in the Cloverbelt East.

Owen-Withee (7-9, 6-7 Cloverbelt East) had a balanced scoring attack with Hailey Geldernick leading the way with nine points.

Columbus Catholic plays at Gilman on Thursday.
