SPENCER – The Marshfield girls and D.C. Everest boys earned wins at a Wisconsin Valley Conference cross country dual meet on Friday at Frey Field.
Sara Mlodik of D.C. Everest won the girls race in 19:34.5, but the next nine finishers were all Marshfield runners as the Tigers won 20-46.
Eliana Kanitz finished second (20:01.5), Meghan Jaeger was third (20:31.0), Michaela Dick took fourth (21:29.2) and Kairi Kim was fifth (21:36.5) for the Tigers.
Lucas Allen won the boys race in 17:19.3, 40 seconds ahead of teammate A.J. Appel to help lift the D.C. Everest boys to a narrow 27-29 win.
Marshfield had the next three finishers. Henry Hoerneman was third (18:31.5), Seth Oemig took fourth (19:10.3) and Jesse Messmann finished fifth (19:36.5) for the Tigers.
Marshfield’s next meet is Thursday at Wausau East.
