Auburndale softball rips Neillsville

AUBURNDALE – Auburndale scored six runs in the first and third innings to roll past Neillsville 16-6 in a nonconference softball game Friday at Auburndale High School.

Samantha Stanton had three hits, including a three-run home run in the sixth inning for Auburndale to finish off the game due to the 10-run rule.

Kaitlyn Kundinger and Erin Griesbach each had three hits and two RBIs in the victory for the Eagles (15-5).

Emma Moseley had three hits and scored twice for Neillsville (17-4).

Both teams open WIAA postseason play Monday with a regional semifinal. Neillsville hosts Elk Mound in a Division 3 matchup, and Auburndale will be at Edgar in Division 4.
