WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Wisconsin Rapids Assumption earned its first Marawood Conference South Division volleyball victory of the season with a 3-1 win over Auburndale on Tuesday night at Assumption High School.
The Royals won 24-26, 25-22, 25-12, 25-20. Both Assumption and Auburndale are now 1-3 in Marawood South play.
Josie Ertl had 19 kills, Ashlyn Grimm had 13 digs and 28 assists, and Brianna Weiler had 13 digs for Auburndale.
Autumn Moon had a team-high 10 kills, Jayden Glaza had 19 assists, and Kendall Duellman had 16 digs and five service aces for Assumption.
Ava Schill added 13 digs, Maleia Kolo had 12 digs, and Anna Schooley also had five aces for the Royals, which had 21 service aces in total.
Assumption will play a nonconference match at Pittsville on Thursday before competing in a Marawood Conference Crossover Challenge event at Edgar on Saturday. Auburndale will be off until Saturday when it is at the Marawood Crossover meet at Abbotsford.
