Columbus Catholic volleyball takes down Neillsville in battle of Cloverbelt East unbeatens

NEILLSVILLE – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team took a big step toward a fifth-straight Cloverbelt Conference East Division championship with a 3-0 sweep of Neillsville on Tuesday night at Neillsville High School.

The Dons won 25-13, 25-14, 25-7, in a dominating performance between the final two undefeated teams in the Cloverbelt East. Columbus Catholic is now 4-0 and Neillsville 3-1 in conference play.

Dorci Walker had 22 kills and eight digs, Jenna Kibbel added 12 digs and five kills, and Courtney Sommer had 20 assists, seven digs and four blocks for Columbus Catholic.

Izzy Hoglund had 12 digs and Lily Stratman had 10 assists as well for the Dons.

Columbus Catholic will play at Colby and Neillsville will be at Gilman in Cloverbelt East action on Thursday.
