Marshfield boys basketball drops game at Appleton East

APPLETON – Appleton East jumped out to a double-digit lead by halftime and held on to defeat Marshfield 69-44 in a nonconference boys basketball game Tuesday at East High School.

East, playing its season opener, led 35-23 by halftime and the Tigers (0-2) were unable to make up any ground in the second half.

Chase Hinson scored 17 points, Brooks Hinson added 14, and Gavin Fravert chipped in 11 for Marshfield.

Marshfield plays its home opener Friday against La Crosse Central. The game will be live at zaleskisports.com.
