Spencer/Columbus wrestling earns title, third-place finish at Royall Invitational

ELROY – Spencer/Columbus Catholic earned a pair of top-three finishes and tied for ninth in the team standings at the Royall Wrestling Invitational on Saturday.

Treyton Ackman won the 126-pound title for Spencer/Columbus, earning a major decision over Gunnar Wopat of Royall, 11-2, in the championship match.

Joe Neider finished third for the Rockets. He won the 182-pound third-place match over Evan Palamaruk of Royall with a pin in 2:36.

Iowa-Grant won the team title with 226.5 points, with West Salem/Bangor second with 146.5. Spencer/Columbus and Madison East tied for ninth with 48 points.
