Columbus Catholic picks up four wins at Pittsville Track Invite

PITTSVILLE – Mira Torbey and Andrew Scheer each picked up a pair of wins for Columbus Catholic at the Pittsville Track & Field Invitational on Monday at Pittsville High School.

Torbey won the girls 100 meters in 13.86 seconds and the 200 in 28.70, and also placed third in the long jump with a leap of 14-3 as the Dons girls finished sixth among the seven teams.

Scheer won the boys 1,600 in 4:45.37 and the 3,200 in 10:41.30 as Columbus took fifth in the boys team standings.

Pittsville won the girls title with 146 points, and tied Wisconsin Rapids Assumption for first in the boys standings with 124 points.
