Columbus Catholic’s Andrew Scheer wins three events at Edgar Track Invite

EDGAR – Andrew Scheer won three events for Marshfield Columbus Catholic at the Dr. H.A. Schulz Track Invitational on Monday at Edgar High School.

Edgar won both team titles with the boys piling up 256 points and the girls finishing with 184. Assumption was second in both team standings.

The Columbus Catholic boys were fifth with 53 points, and the girls last with 21 points at the seven-team meet.

Scheer won the boys 800 meters (2:09.41), 1,600 (4:48.29), and 3,200 (10:27.20) for the Dons.

Mira Torbey had the Columbus Catholic girls top finish, taking third in the 200 in 28.65 seconds.

The Edgar boys won 12 events and the girls took first in six events to earn the double win.
