BEAVER DAM – Courtney Donahue struck out nine in a complete-game pitching win and smacked a home run to lift the Marshfield softball team to a 4-3 win over Beaver Dam in a nonconference matchup Friday.

The game was scheduled after Eau Claire Memorial had to bow out of a scheduled doubleheader against Marshfield that was slated for Friday.

Donahue walked just one and allowed six hits, while also having three hits and three RBI in the Tigers’ victory.

Brooklyn Bohman had two hits and an RBI as well for Marshfield, which finishes the regular season with an 18-4 record.

Marshfield will host a WIAA Division 1 regional final next Thursday at Madison Field against the winner of Tuesday’s semifinal matchup between Menomonie and Eau Claire North.
