Marshfield Junior Legion baseball splits two games at Antigo Tournament

ANTIGO – The Marshfield Junior Legion baseball team split a pair of games at the Antigo Tournament on Saturday.

After losing to Antigo on Friday night, the Junior Devils came back Saturday to roll past Ashwaubenon 18-0 before falling to Fond du Lac 12-4.

Marshfield scored 12 times in the top of the fifth inning and finished off the win over Ashwaubenon due to the 10-run rule.

Adam Gilbertson had three hits and five RBI, Mitchell Schade also had three hits, and Sloan Welch drove in three runs for Marshfield in its win on Saturday.

Madden Prybylski went 2-for-4 with five runs scored, and Chase Robinson and Ian Brown each added two hits and two RBI in the victory.

Marshfield was held to six hits in the loss to Fond du Lac.

Robinson and Aden Cherney each had two hits in the loss for the Junior Devils, who are now 5-11.

Marshfield will complete play at the three-day tournament on Sunday.
