Sheboygan scores late to knock off Marshfield Senior Legion

SHEBOYGAN – Sheboygan matched a pair of rallies by Marshfield and defeated the Blue Devils 6-4 on Sunday as the Sheboygan Legion Tournament wrapped up.

Marshfield scored twice in the top of the fifth inning only to see Sheboygan scored three times in the bottom to take a 4-2 lead.

After Marshfield tied it with two runs in the sixth, Sheboygan scored twice in the bottom to pull back ahead and held on.

Riley Bauman had a double and a triple, and drove in two runs to lead Marshfield’s offense.

Cole Timmler and Ben Dietsche also had RBI, and Isaac Zeps had two hits for the Blue Devils, who finish the three-day tournament with a 2-3 record and are now 9-7 this summer.

Marshfield hosts Antigo on Monday at 7 p.m. at Jack Hackman Field. The game will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
