MARSHFIELD – Marshfield won seven of the 11 races and doubled up La Crosse Logan/Central, winning the season-opening nonconference boys swimming dual meet 111-55 on Tuesday at Marshfield High School.
Kyle Berres and Carlos Koehn each won a pair of individual events for Marshfield. Berres was first in the 50-yard freestyle (23.43) and the 100 freestyle (51.74), and was part of two winning relays as well for Marshfield. Koehn won the 200 freestyle in 2:11.33 and the 500 freestyle in 6:04.89.
The Tigers’ team of Henry Hilbelink, Carson Klumb, Simon Dagit and Berres won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:40.45 and the 400 freestyle relay in 3:53.54.
Dagit added a victory in the 100 butterfly in 1:02.42 for Marshfield.
Marshfield will open its Wisconsin Valley Conference season at Wisconsin Rapids next Tuesday, Nov. 29.
