Stratford girls basketball outlasts Loyal

LOYAL – Stratford held Loyal to just eight points in the second half and pulled out a 34-22 nonconference girls basketball win a defensive battle Tuesday at Loyal High School.

Stratford led 18-14 at halftime before taking control in the second half, holding Loyal to just two made field goals in the second half.

Lauren Kraus had 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Tigers, who are now 4-2.

Stratford plays a Marawood Conference South Division game at Edgar on Thursday.
