Stratford girls basketball knocks off Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD – Bailey Linzmaier had 14 points, and Lauren Kraus added nine points and 10 rebounds to lift the Stratford girls basketball team to a 48-40 win over Abbotsford in a Marawood Conference crossover game Friday night at Abbotsford High School.

The Tigers led by four at halftime, 25-21, and were able to hold off Abbotsford down the stretch to even their Marawood South record at 3-3 and improve to 7-4 overall.

Tessa Berg chipped in eight points and Daisy Yoder had seven in the win for Stratford.

Sydney Falteisek continued her solid season with a game-high 16 points for Abbotsford (9-3, 4-3 Marawood North).

Stratford will play a nonconference game at Bonduel on Monday. Abbotsford, which had its four-game winning streak snapped, will host Tomahawk for a nonconference contest on Tuesday.
