TOMAHAWK – Two late goals broke open a tight game and gave the Marshfield boys hockey team a 5-3 nonconference win over Tomahawk on Friday night in a nonconference battle at the Sara Park Ice Arena.

Marshfield led 3-1 after goals by Noah Peterson, Tyler Reissmann and Tanner Shortt in the first period.

Tomahawk, which came into the game on a seven-game winning streak, tied it up at 3-3 as Jonah Dickens finished off a hat trick early in the third period.

Marshfield responded as Reissmann scored with 2:31 left and Peterson found the net again with just three seconds to go to give the Tigers their second-straight win as they improve to 8-7.

Marshfield will host a pair of games next week as it takes on Antigo on Tuesday and Stevens Point on Thursday at the Marshfield Area Ice Arena.
