Marshfield girls basketball loses nonconference game at Kimberly

KIMBERLY – Marshfield fell behind by double digits and couldn’t recover, losing to Kimberly 52-41 in a nonconference girls basketball game Saturday at Kimberly High School.

Kimberly (8-8) led 29-16 by halftime and the Tigers couldn’t catch up, falling to 12-3 this season.

Dani Minsaas had 16 points and Ashley Grancorvitz scored 13 for Marshfield, which shot just 13 of 44 from the field in the loss.

Kate McGinnis led Kimberly with 12 points.

Marshfield will travel back to the Fox Valley on Tuesday for a nonconference game at Neenah, which is 14-1 and ranked No. 4 in the state in the latest Wissports.net Division 1 coaches poll.
