MARSHFIELD – Nine different Marshfield Columbus Catholic players scored, four in double digits, as the Dons pounded Wisconsin Valley Lutheran 74-35 in a WIAA Division 5 boys basketball regional quarterfinal Tuesday at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons dominated the first half, cruising out to a 41-14 lead, and finished off the win to improve to 18-7 this season.

The No. 4 seed Columbus Catholic will host a D-5 regional semifinal against No. 5 Almond-Bancroft (20-5) on Friday at 7 p.m. A-B smashed Bowler 89-35 in a regional quarterfinal Tuesday.

Charlie Moore led Columbus Catholic with 18 points, Nathan Nemitz and Emmitt Konieczny each chipped in 12, and Lucas Kreklau added 11 in the victory.

Kiel Zuelsdorff topped Wisconsin Valley Lutheran (9-13) with 14 points.
