Auburndale softball slugs past Tigerton

AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale softball team slugged past Tigerton 13-7 in a nonconference matchup Tuesday at Auburndale High School.

The Eagles pounded out 12 hits and scored multiple runs in five different innings to earn the victory and finish the regular season with a 13-3 record.

Samantha Stanton and Mya Krings each had three hits, with Krings scoring four runs and Stanton driving in three for Auburndale. Danika Blomberg and Ashlyn Grimm both had three RBI as well for the Eagles.

Auburndale will wrap up its regular season Thursday at home against Stevens Point Pacelli.

Auburndale will host the winner of Thursday’s game between Necedah and Pardeeville in a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal next Tuesday at Auburndale High School.
