Marshfield Junior Legion baseball drops opener at Stevens Point tournament

STEVENS POINT – Marshfield dropped its opening game at the Don Friday Stevens Point Sixers Junior Legion Baseball Tournament on Friday, falling to the Appleton Double Days 7-2.

The Junior Devils were held to two hits, singles by Jakob Sadowska and Mason Anderson.

Appleton used a six-run third inning to bust open a 1-0 game and held on the rest of the way.

Marshfield will play Middleton at 10 a.m. and Beaver Dam at 5 p.m. on Saturday before wrapping up the tournament on Sunday.
