Marshfield Junior Legion baseball defeats Merrill to pick up first win of season

MERRILL – The Marshfield Junior Legion baseball team picked up its first victory of the season, downing Merrill 10-1 on Thursday.

Marshfield scored five runs in the second inning and added four more in the fifth.

Jakob Sadowska, Easton Ledden and Mason Anderson each had two hits to pace the Marshfield offense.

Madden Prybylski had three RBI, and Ledden and Tyler Kremer each drove in two runs in the victory.

Ethan Soweija threw a complete game for Marshfield, allowing just one run in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Marshfield plays Appleton Post 38 at 12:30 p.m. Friday to open play in the three-day Stevens Point Tournament at Bukolt Park.
