SPENCER – The Spencer volleyball team dropped its Cloverbelt Conference East Division opener to Owen-Withee 3-1 on Tuesday night at Spencer High School.
The Blackhawks won 25-16, 26-24, 23-25, 25-10.
Hannah Reckner had nine kills, Claudia Krause had eight kills and Hannah Schreiner added seven kills for Spencer.
Shelby Frisch had 12 digs and 12 assists, Alisia Bocchino added 10 assists and 15 digs, and Alexa Stange had a team-best 33 digs as well for the Rockets.
Spencer will host a six-team tournament on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. Athens, Manawa, Prentice, Rib Lake and Weyauwega-Fremont will take part.
